Prep

Place the dry ingredients, mashed potatoes, and melted butter in a bowl. Grate the raw potatoes.

Dough

Wrap the grated potato in a towel and squeeze as much water out as you can. Add it and the milk to the flour to make a dough.

Shaping

Knead the dough gently a few times, then shape into a disc and score with an X, cutting almost all the way through.

Bake

Bake at 400°F for 40 minutes, or until the loaf is golden brown. Let it cool briefly, then enjoy with butter.
