Ingredients

For the Caesar

  • 16 fluid ounces Clamato juice
  • teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cubes ice
  • 2 grinds black pepper

For the Garnish

  • 1 lime cut in wedges
  • 2 tablespoons celery salt
  • 1 celery stalk with leaves

Instructions

  • Wedge the lime.  Cut a small slit in a lime wedge and run it around the edge of a tall glass.
  • Pour two tablespoons of celery salt in a small dish.  Insert the rim of the glass in the celery salt and twist it.  This will give the rim a nice coating of celery salt.  This is an important step, so don't omit it.
  • Add a few cubes of ice to the glass, then pour in the Clamato juice.  Add equal parts of Tabasco sauce and Worcestershire sauce.  For an extremely mild version, use 2 dashes of each, and for a spicier version try ¼ teaspoon.
  • Stir carefully with a long handled spoon.  Taste and add more Tabasco or Worcestershire sauce if desired.
  • Sprinkle some freshly ground black pepper on top.
  • Garnish with another lime wedge and a celery stalk with leaves.

Notes

  • Reduce the amount of hot sauce to 2 dashes if serving to a child.
  • If you plan on adding lots of garnishes, use a bottom-heavy glass, as you don't want the drink to topple over.
