Southern Collard Greens

What You Need

You don't need a lot of ingredients to make a mouthwatering batch of collard greens!

Prep the Greens

Wash and rinse the collards, then cut out their ribs and cut them into small pieces.

Sauté & Wilt

Sauté the onion and garlic, then season with salt and pepper. Wilt the greens in batches.

Season

Add the wilted greens and sautéed onion mixture to the pan, then pour in the broth and seasonings.

Simmer

Add the ham hocks, then simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Remove the ham hocks and shred their meat.

Almost Done!

Add the meat back to the greens and simmer for another 30 minutes. Then, enjoy!
