WHAT YOU NEED

Grab these ingredients, and let's cook up an amazing batch of wild rice soup!

Saute.

1. Saute the mirepoix in a Dutch oven until it's softened. 2. Cook the mushrooms in a skillet until they are brown.

ROUX.

3. Add the flour to the sauteed veggies. 4. Stir and cook for 2 minutes to cook the flour.

TOAST.

5. Add the wild rice and stir for 1 minute to toast it. 6. Slowly add the chicken stock, stirring as you pour it in to prevent lumps.

FINISH.

7. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 45 minutes, then add the cream. 8. Adjust seasonings to taste.
