Vegetarian Haggis Recipe

What You Need

Grab these ingredients, and you'll be ready to make this mouthwatering vegetarian haggis from scratch!

Sauté

1. Cook the chopped onion in butter until it's softened. 2. Add the carrots and cook for 5 minutes.

Cook

3. Add more butter and cook the mushrooms for 8 minutes. 4. Stir in the cooked green lentils.

Simmer

5. Add the spices and flavorings and stir well to combine. 6. Add the stock and oats and simmer for 15 minutes.

Steam

7. Adjust the seasonings. 8. Pack the mixture into a pudding basin, cover with foil, and steam for 1 hour.

Serve

9. Turn out the haggis onto a serving plate and garnish with parsley or arugula (aka rocket). 10. Serve with neeps and tatties and whisky cream sauce.
