potato corn chowder

You probably already have most of these ingredients in your fridge or pantry.  Let's get cooking!

saute

Saute the onions and celery, then add the garlic. Saute the corn kernels and salt and cook for about 20 minutes.

cook

Sprinkle the flour over the corn and cook for a couple of minutes, then whisk in the chicken stock.

simmer

Add the remaining ingredients and boil for 7 minutes, then simmer for 5 minutes, then add the cream.

almost done

Mix in the cream until it's evenly mixed, then adjust seasonings to taste.  Garnish with thyme.

serve
