Pastelitos de Guayaba

What You Need

Grab 5 simple ingredients, and in about 30 minutes, you'll have a freshly baked batch of pastelitos de guayaba!

Guava

1. Cut the two sheets of puff pastry into 9 squares each. 2. Lay a thick slice of guava paste on top of 9 squares.

Cheese

3. Add a slice of cream cheese on top of the guava paste. 4. Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg.

Pastry

5. Top with the remaining pastry squares and brush with egg. 6. Sprinkle with sugar and cut vent holes in each pastelito.

Bake

7. Bake at 400°F for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. 8. Let the pastelitos cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
