Mulligan Stew Recipe

What You Need

This hearty, Irish-American stew is packed with vegetables.  Let's get ready to make this comforting dinner!

Browning the Beef

1. Brown the beef in oil, cooking it in batches. 2. Sauté the veggies, then add the spices and cook for 30 seconds.

Deglazing

3. Deglaze the pan by pouring 1/4 cup of broth and scraping off the browned bits. 4. Add the meat and broth.

Simmering

5. Simmer for 1 hr and 15 min. 6. Add the crushed tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, celery, and lima beans and simmer 30 min.

Almost Done!

7. Add the green beans and cabbage and cook for 15 min. 8. Remove the stew from the heat and garnish with parsley.
