This mouthwateringly fluffy kozunak will be the star of your Easter breakfast!

INGREDIENTS

SOAK RAISINS

Soak the raisins in rum (or water and rum extract) for 30 minutes.

DRY INGREDIENTS

Pour the flour into a mixing bowl, then add the salt and yeast on opposite sides.

Add half of the oil and all of the other ingredients. Mix until all the flour is picked up and a sticky dough has  formed.

MIX THE DOUGH

KNEAD

Knead until the dough is smooth and no longer sticky, then knead in the remaining olive oil.

PROVE #1

Shape the dough into a ball and let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 1/2 hours.

Split the dough into three pieces and flatten.  Fill with raisins, then braid.

FILL & BRAID

RISE & BAKE

Let the loaf rise until it's springy to the touch, then bake at 400°F for 20 minutes and at 325°F for 25 minutes.

ENJOY!

Let the kozunak cool completely, then slice it and enjoy while it's fresh.
