Irish Brown Bread

What You Need

You don't need a lot of ingredients to make this healthy and hearty bread from scratch!

Mix

1. Whisk the dry ingredients together until they're combined. 2. Add the buttermilk and stir to make a slightly sticky dough.

Shape

3. Gently knead a couple times, then shape into a round loaf. 4. Score with a deep cross, cutting almost through the loaf.

Bake

5. Bake at 450°F for 15 minutes on a preheated baking stone, then bake at 400°F for 15 min. 6. Let cool completely.

Enjoy!

Slice the cooled Irish brown bread and enjoy it with butter, as toast, or with a hearty Irish stew!
