HOW TO MAKE
BY SAVOR THE FLAVOUR
1. Scrub the oranges, then slice them in 1/8-inch slices. 2. Blanch in boiling water for 10 minutes to remove any bitterness.
3. Immediately drain the oranges and place them in an ice bath to stop their cooking. 4. Make a simple syrup by dissolving the sugar into the water.
5. Bring the syrup to a boil, then add the oranges and simmer for 45-60 minutes (until translucent). 6. Spread the slices on wire racks and dry in a 175°F oven for 30 min.
7. Roll each slice in sugar, then dry them out for another 1 1/2-2 hrs. 8. Coat in sugar, then enjoy or use as a decoration on baked goods.
