Soak the raisins in bourbon for 2 hours, then melt the brown sugar in a 9x13" pan in a 350°F oven.

Toss the bread cubes in milk and let stand for 10 minutes, or until the bread absorbs the milk.

Mix the custard ingredients with a whisk, then stir it into the soaked bread and add the raisins.

Pour the mixture into the pan and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes, or until it has a slight wobble in the middle.

Start the sauce by heating the milk and cream, then stir in the sugar and vanilla until it's dissolved.

Make a slurry by mixing the cornstarch with a little of the warm milk, then add it to the sauce and simmer until thickened.
